Two Barns

Completed in 2014

Spokane Valley, WA

Contractor: Copeland Architecture & Construction

Our clients envisioned deconstructing an old barn and relocating to the site. When the available options turned out to be overly large and cost-prohibitive, we proposed to recreate a couple barns of modest size with the exceptional character of recycled wood. The classic gambrel form created an occupied “hay loft” space for bedrooms and allowed for the spacious entry and dining areas in the middle. The fun outbuilding keeps the goats entertained and chickens laying eggs.
