Meadow Views At Model Rural Cluster

This house story is part of a 20-year dream to develop and live in a co-housing project. The development, here known as a rural cluster development, provides that most of the property within the development boundary must remain unimproved while smaller building lots are grouped together to significantly reduce the visual impact on the natural landscape. Along with the development goals to be sustainable, including shared wells and recreation area, we also incorporated many sustainable concepts into the house, including geothermal heating and cooling, SIPs building panels, BIBS insulation, and high-efficiency appliances including an induction cook top. Most significantly, though, is how the interior living of the house relates to the exterior and further to the site beyond by use of materials such as the beams and wood ceilings. At near 2800 sf, the three-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 3-car garage house fits very well on the site and takes full advantage of their views to the meadows they preserved.
